THE BABY'S Anthology

Never been a Baby's fan. Never even knew who they were until the debut Bad English cd came out. I was very impressed with that cd, so much so, that I went and bought or listened too just about everything John Waite did. John Waite's solo career has been hit or miss, more miss in terms of popular music, but he really has had some good songs. But with the Baby's it was the other way around. He had more hits with that group than he did solo. But to me the songs are pretty lame.

That is the problem with this anthology cd, by the band, cause for the most part, if it wasn't a radio hit, it is pretty much not worth listening too. Another problem, too many songs, The Baby's only had a handful of hits, not the 17 songs on this cd, so there is a lot of filler. Third this is the cd version of the same release many years earlier, and that is a better one to take home, cause it is just the hits.

But there is some good out of this. The songs sound better (remastered?), and a more detailed booklet than the original release. There is one or two non-hit gems on here, but really the cd should have been cut off at 10 or 11 songs.

Wish I could say a lot more good about this cd, but I can't..
